Gaming system choices

Nintendo Switch can be played on the TV or undocked to take on the go.

Now that Santa has come and gone, you probably have Christmas gift cards burning a hole in your proverbial pocket. This would be the perfect time to pick up the hottest gaming system on the market, the Nintendo Switch, which you can play on your television set or undock and take on the go. Of course, you’ll want to grab some games as well.

Frequent Indulge contributor and resident gaming expert, Brett Weiss, recommends “Super Mario Odyssey,” an open-ended take on the iconic franchise, “Splatoon 2,” a colorful, team-based shooter, and “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,,” an action RPG that could potentially keep you busy for 100 hours or more. For the best results, get a Pro Controller, which offers a better, more traditional control experience than the Joy-Cons that are packaged with the console. Available at Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Toys “R” Us, Amazon. $299. ($69.99 for the Pro Controller.)
