Champagne is always a good idea, especially as a float atop the iconic French 75.
It’s what we order when we want to feel extravagant, although the cocktail’s components are relatively straightforward.
The new Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar, now open in the Shops at Clearfork, keeps theirs traditional by using gin. But in New Orleans, where Carnival season is currently well underway, cognac is the spirit of choice for this popular French Quarter concoction.
No matter which way you shake it, the sophisticated libation provides for the perfect toast to love – or a happy Mardi Gras.
