We’ve rounded up four examples of elegant and luxurious wedding cake trends, delicious, too. Whether it’s something simple or something completely custom, there are lots of great options in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for your cake needs.
Crème de la Crème
This cake, inspired by nature, has an almost whimsical quality with the addition of butterflies and the tiny lady bugs. Whether a fondant-covered or beautifully textured buttercream cake is in order, Crème de la Crème enjoys both the design and execution of the creation. Owner Jamie loves to incorporate the couple’s personality, typically meeting with wedding clients twice before finalizing their cake design. The bakery offers 40 different flavor and filling combinations such as white cake with blackberry and cream cheese filling, and a lavender-infused cake with honey lemon buttercream filling. New this year is an old southern favorite, hummingbird cake with cream cheese filling. 6511 E. Lancaster Ave. (in the Handley Wedding District), Fort Worth, 817-492-8888, www.cremedelacremecakecompany.com
The design for this magnificient seven-tier wedding cake consists of alternating white and metallic tiers: the top three white tiers have an intricate scroll piping; the bottom tier is covered in beautiful white petal ruffles. The metallic tiers are made of confetti sequins hand-painted in a metallic “scold” (a mixture of silver and gold). Elegant Cakery limits the number of wedding cake orders they take to maintain the very best quality for their customers, so they recommend placing the order as soon as the wedding venue is confirmed. The bakery believes in quality, attention-to-detail and customer satisfaction, offering beautiful cake designs with an unforgettable taste. 2364 E. State Hwy 114, Southlake, 817-488-7580, www.elegantcakery.com.
